TNS subsidiary to consolidate phone services for Cardtronics ATMs

October 29, 2003

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - POSLink, local services subsidiary of Transaction Network Services (TNS), will provide local, dial-up telephone services for Cardtronics'nationwide ATM network.

TNS, a provider of data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, now provides local telephone services to merchants and ATM owners through its subsidiary, POSLink, according to a news release.

By using POSLink for dial-line consolidation and higher-bandwidth connections when necessary, Cardtronics and its customers will experience the benefits of reduced costs and a single point of contact for the thousands of phone lines used to connect its ATMs to the processing network.

According to the release, POSLink can provision, install, repair and consolidate local service in all U.S. markets. POSLink serves as the customer's communications agent in acquiring new lines and provides a single, electronically auditable inventory of lines and monthly charges. No interruption in phone service is necessary, and POSLink provides 24-hour help desk services for all lines.

POSLink offers a Web-based ordering and inventory tracking system. Additionally, POSLink manages a network of professional field installation technicians across the country capable of inside wire jobs for ATMs, point-of-sale terminals and complex phone systems.

"This is just another step by Cardtronics to accommodate growth and to provide for continued superior support and pricing for our clients," said Michael Clinard, chief operating officer at Cardtronics, which owns and/or manages more than 12,500 ATMs.
