Thieves target ATM in Israeli mall

Israeli authorities are investigating an incident where thieves attempted to steal an ATM at the Savyonim Mall in Yehud. The thieves caused extensive damage to the mall and to the ATM but were unable to get the cash out, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

A neighbor reported suspicious noises at the mall to police who arrived on the scene and a chase ensued. The suspects abandoned a Jeep and fled into a rural field.

The mall's windows were broken, as well as escalators and damage to a few shops.

The investigation is ongoing.
