Thieves steal from 8 ATMs at 7-Elevens in DC area

Thieves recently stole from eight ATMs in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. They were all located at 7-Eleven stores, according to a report by NBC 4 Washington.

In security footage, the thieves were seen holding up the clerks, taking away security camera footage and breaking into the ATM and stealing the cash. Hyattsville, Maryland Police Chief Jarod Towers said they used a hydraulic spreader to open the ATMs.

The investigation is ongoing.
