Thieves attempt to steal ATM in Delaware crime spree

A group of suspects attempted to steal an ATM from a Sunoco gas station in Newark Delaware. After failing to load it into their van, they fled the scene, leaving the ATM broken in two pieces, according to a report by ABC 6.

Ten minutes after this event, the culprits robbed a different Sunoco gas station, demanding that the clerk give them money from the register.

In addition, on June 8, suspects slammed a van into the front of a Shell gas station but did not steal anything. Police are investigating if that crime is related to the Sunoco spree.

There have been no suspect or vehicle descriptions released and the investigation is ongoing.
