Visa has confirmed the latest versions of Galitt card test suites KaNest-ICC VIS and KaNest-ICC VCPS for contact and contactless cards, respectively, according to a press release.
The updated tools implement a new Visa process for test generation that allows the user to create standardized test plans automatically, making testing more efficient, user-friendly and reliable, the company said. Additionally, the operator receives detailed information about exchanges between the card and the terminal.
The solution has been recognized by Visa with the confirmation of:
Galitt has integrated the new process defined by Visa under its RATS (requirements, application, testing, specification) tool. The tool sends a full set of parameters to the card for personalization and executes the test plan. The entire operation is run in a single step, eliminating the need for the operator to remove and reinsert test cards.
A card vendor merely has to list product functionalities in the implementation conformance statement. Galitt KaNest-ICC test tool automatically generates the list of applicable tests from the ICS. The test operator can then open the test list and run tests automatically. The tool generates a test report in .csv or .xml format.
