Temenos integrates Taurus SA for crypto assets

Temenos, a banking software company, has integrated its Transact banking software with Taurus SA, a digital asset and blockchain infrastructure. With this integration, banks will be able to access all forms of digital assets including cryptocurrency, tokenized assets and digital currencies, according to a press release.

Temenos can access Taurus's services through the Tenemos Marketplace, a community of fintech solutions, according to the release. In particular, they can access the Taurus Capital tokenization and lifecycle management software, Taurus Protect, a hot, warm and cold digital asset custody platform, and Taurus Explorer, an API-based blockchain connectivity platform.

"We believe that digital assets represent new opportunities for banks and wealth managers. Investors are increasingly aware of the performance of cryptocurrencies, which can effectively participate in the diversification of a portfolio," Alexandre Duret, product director at Temenos, said in the release. "But other applications of blockchain technology, such as tokenized securities, have the potential to transform the value chain with simpler issuance procedures, greater liquidity and real-time settlement.
