Telpar introduces three-inch direct thermal printer with USB, serial, parallel interfaces

DOVER, N.H. — Telpar, a thermal printer manufacturer specializing in design, manufacturing and distribution of self-service kiosk and specialty receipt printers, has introduced its newest three-inch direct thermal printer, the MTP-7632. This new 3-inch printer features USB, serial and parallel interface connectivity, and print speeds of up to 5.9 inches per second, allowing for increased productivity in a wider range of self-service and kiosk printer applications.
 
The MTP-7632 thermal printer supports a print resolution of both 203 dpi with print speeds up to 5.9 inches per second (150 mm/s) and 300 dpi with print speeds up to 3.9 inches per second (100 mm/s). The printer has both horizontal and vertical paper roll configurations allowing for use in a wider array of enclosure designs.
 
The printer is available with or without a built-in auto cutter that provides a full cut or partial cut (for non presenter models). Sensors indicate Out Of Paper, Black Mark (For Top Of Form), Paper Low, Print Head Up, Cutter Jam and Document Still in Document Presenter. The MTP-7632 paper cutter has an operational life of one million cuts.  Paper options include continuous rolls and marked paper. Maximum paper roll outer diameter is 254 mm with a paper width of 82.5 mm. Options include document presenter and paper delivery bezels.
 
Telpar printers come complete with Windows drivers, enabling users to easily print graphics, text and barcodes from Windows applications and other prevalent programs. Print divers are available for Windows 98, 2000, NT4.0, Server 2003, XP and Vista. The thermal printer also has a flash memory allowing it to store and print logos, making it a great choice for applications like hospitality, retail, ticketing and coupons. The printer firmware can also be re-flashed with upgrades when connected to a PC. Each unit is backed with a one-year factory warranty and Telpar's technical service and support.
 
Available immediately, the MTP-7632 comes in either USB only or serial and parallel.
