Tascent, a provider of biometric technologies, has expanded its face and iris recognition system to enable biometric authentication in self-service devices, according to a press release.
Tascent InSight One is now available as an embeddable OEM module for ATM and kiosk integration, and as a small-footprint ID station for self-service biometric identification enrollment and authentication.
These two new form factors will enable partners to introduce multimodal biometric capabilities that enhance the security, convenience and efficiency of self-service touch points, the release said.
The InSight One OEM module enables touch screen devices for biometric authentication; the ID station allows the use of fingerprint, minimum resolvable temperature difference analysis, or barcode scanning in self-service identity enrollment and matching.
Potential use cases include personal identification at ATMs, Know Your Customer compliance and branch visitor management, as well as other kiosk and self-service vending uses, the release said.
