Tampa man allegedly stole $450K from banks with 20 fake IDs

James Scannapieco, a man from Tampa, Florida, was arrested for allegedly using 20 fake IDs to steal almost $450,000 from 36 Florida banks. He targeted Fifth Third Bank branches, according to a report by Fox 13 news.

His victims include Randall Probst who lost $39,000 from his savings account when Scannapieco stole his identity.

Scannapieco is currently booked into Pinellas County Jail with a $149,200 bond.
