Sunflower Bank expands into Southern California with regional president hire

Sunflower Bank expanded into the Southern California market with four banking teams. It also appointed James Canepa to served as EVP and regional president of the area. Sunflower Bank currently has locations in Texas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Arizona, according to a press release.

In addition to Canepa, the bank appointed a variety of other executives for the market, including:

• David Alterman as SVP and managing group director of the Greater Los Angeles market.
• Cathie Wachter as SVP and managing group director of the West Los Angeles market.
• Ernesto Arredondo Jr. and Stepehen Clark as both SVP and co-managing group directors of Orange County and San Diego.
• Kenneth Hernandez as SVP and managing group director of the Inland Empire market.
• Keith Budoff as SVP and regional senior credit administrator for Southern California.
