SEOUL, South Korea - Bank customers in South Korea will have weekend banking options starting July 1, when financial institutions in the country will be allowed to offer ATM transactions on Saturdays.
According to Asia Pulse news service, the Federation of Koreans Banks will allow transactions to take place between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
Customers will not be charged fees for ATM transactions on Saturdays. In addition, the cash withdrawal limit will be raised from 700,000 won ($570) to between 2 million ($1,630) and 3 million won ($2,445).
