Some PNC Bank ATMs offer phone cards

March 4, 2002

PITTSBURGH -- In a move that illustrates the expanding convenience of ATMs, PNC Bank Corp. said it would offer AT&T PrePaid Cards through its network of ATMs.

AT&T's prepaid cards are currently available at full-function ATMs at 10 PNC Bank branches in the Pittsburgh area. More locations will be added later, including selected malls and convenience stores.

The prepaid card sold at PNC Bank locations is a 60-minute card and costs $20. The cost is debited from the purchaser's bank account, and the transaction is not subject to any surcharge from PNC Bank.

The cards have no phone surcharges, expiration dates or inactivity charges. They also feature instructions in English and Spanish.
