DETROIT -- Comerica Bank has introduced a Spanish language option on four ATMs in Detroit's Mexicantown neighborhood.
"The Spanish screen and receipt feature will make it easier for our Hispanic customers to conveniently access their accounts," said Stephanie Valentine, Comerica's first vice president of ATM administration.
When customers insert their access card into the ATM, the machine will offer them a choice of instructions in English or Spanish. Customers who select the Spanish language option will have each screen of instructions and their receipt printed in Spanish. The ATMs will continue to give customers the ability to make withdrawals, deposits, balance transfers, and access account information.
If the Spanish language option is successful on Detroit's Mexicantown ATMs, the feature may be installed on other Comerica machines in Michigan.
