Skimming devices discovered in Everett, Washington ATMs

Authorities in Everett, Washington have discovered multiple skimming devices on ATMs, gas station POS devices and grocery stores in the area. With these tools, criminals can steal card data and are often paired with pinhole cameras to steal PIN numbers, according to a report by Herald Net.

"We have had steady reports of them happening for years now," Natalie Given, spokesperson for the Everett Police Department, said in the report.

In order to avoid becoming a victim, authorities recommend using checking ATMs for tampering and to regularly check bank and credit card transactions for any unusual activity.
