A 53-year old man in Renton, Washington was shot and killed during an altercation at a Chase ATM. Two 23-year-old individuals were depositing money at an ATM when an 18-year-old man approached them because he thought they had stolen his car keys. The two got into a fight and when the younger man's father got involved, shots were fired and the father died, according to a report by Komo News.
The 18-year-old man fled the scene and his father's 23-year-old daughter also fired a shot. The two men did not have stolen car keys, but thought they were being robbed.
"The individuals using the ATM were just there to use the ATM machine; they did not have any stolen car keys," Meeghan Black, communications manager for the Renton Police Department, said in the report.
Police have acquired four guns, two from each party involved in the altercation. No arrests have been made and police are waiting on ballistics tests.
