Shinsei teams with Viewcard to secure ATM access at East Japan Railway stations

On Oct. 21, life could get a little simpler for Japanese commuters who are also cardholders at Tokyo-based Shinsei Bank Ltd. The FI has announced a partnership with Viewcard Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the East Japan Railway Co., to offer Shinsei PowerFlex cardholders fee-free access to Viewcard-operated ATMs in railway stations.

Cardholders will be able to withdraw money and check their account balances at View Allte ATMs. The ATMs will be fee-free 24/7.

Shinsei Bank has previously expanded its ATM network in partnership with several other providers, including City Banks, Japan Post Bank, and Seven Bank.

The partnership with Viewcard will continue the FIs plan to further improve cash access for PowerFlex customers.
