Installations are underway in a planned deployment that will increase the number of Seven Bank ATMs in Tokyo subway stations from 18 to 72. All machines are to be in service by the end of April.
The ATMs will operate from 5 a.m. until midnight to coincide with the subway's regular open hours, a report from The Japan News said. The machines will accept cards from approximately 590 affiliated FIs, the article said.
The tourist-friendly machines will dispense Japanese yen through nine different language interfaces.
