Security Service FCU selects Tyfone for next gen mobile services

June 4, 2012

Security Service Federal Credit Union, one of the top ten credit unions in the nation, today announced it has chosen Tyfone to provide mobile banking services to the FI's 875,000 members. Services will include core integrated mobile banking, layered mobile security, iCashe mobile wallet and, eventually, in-store payments.

Standard features of the service include balance check, account history review, fund transfer, branch and ATM lookup, customizable alert, and bill pay. Next gen features enable enrollment via mobile device (no online account required), and allow customers to send and receive digital gift cards for a broad network of retailers.

Tyfone's u4ia mobile platform will be hosted in the cloud for secure Mobile Banking and iCashe Mobile Wallet services. The iCashe Mobile Wallet will offer NFC and cloud payments, as well as strong authentication ID management without NFC.

"Mobile tools are rapidly evolving and becoming increasingly important to our members," said John Worthington, senior vice president of corporate communications for SSFCU. "We are excited to begin implementation right away and to roll out the first wave of mobile services to our members this year."

"SSFCU members will be delighted with the robust mobile banking features that are relevant to their on-the-go digital lifestyles," said Mark Miyamoto, director of mobile banking at Tyfone. "Moreover, Tyfone will be working with SSFCU to mobilize features, such as iCashe, to offer more convenient services to its members."
