The Secret Service is investigating 27 cases of skimming at one PNC ATM in Macedonia, Ohio. A thief used a small camera to steal PIN numbers from customers, according to a report by ABC 5.

One victim, Will Shuster, said he noticed an ATM withdrawal and fee for $483.75 after using the ATM. He filed a dispute but the bank claimed that skimming was impossible since they check the ATMs twice a day for skimmers. Dan Matejka, a detective in Macedonia found a skimmer on the ATM.

"I felt violated. We trust our banks to keep our money safe," Shuster told the news outlet.

PNC returned Shuster's money after 10 days.

"We are working with law enforcement to investigate a potential fraud issue affecting certain PNC ATMs," PNC said in a statement. "In general, customers who notice suspicious activity on their accounts should contact us right away using the number listed on the back of their PNC ATM card or on our website."

The investigation is ongoing.
