LONDON - One of Scandinavia's foremost banks, SEB Group, has joined the ATM Industry Association(ATMIA) Europe, the European chapter of the six-year-old non-profit trade association.
The SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken) Group is a leading financial partner in the Nordic countries with a strong European presence and international scope. The SEB Group has 672 branches in Sweden, Germany and the Baltic states with a total of 4 million customers, including 1.3 million e-banking customers. The group operates in some 20 countries around the world and has 19,000 employees.
"We were grateful to SEB Group for kindly hosting our 'ATM Sec Stockholm' seminar in Sweden in November, at which discussions were held about launching EAST (European ATM Security Team) to look at Eurocentric security issues in the industry. We are now privileged to work with them as members of ATMIA Europe," said Mike Lee, ATMIA's international director.
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
