SberBank introduced smart ATMs in Russia that not only dispense cash but also checks a customer's health. The dual-screen ATMs have cameras that can check a customer's pulse, blood pressure, stress levels, cholesterol, blood glucose levels, body mass index and other health indicators, according to a report by CFO Tech Asia.
The first screen sits in front of the device while a secondary screen is set within a recessed cavity to protect PINs and customer information. It also has lightning around it to indicate when someone is using the ATM. Health information is displayed on the private screen and sent to the SberHealth app.
The ATM also features a GigaChat virtual assistant so users can ask questions and receive answers in natural language.
"Essentially, it is a universal hub for human well-being. We will start installing these ATMs across the country starting in December," Alexander Vedyakhin, first deputy chairman of the executive board, SberBank, said in the report.
