NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. appointed Sheila M. Rutt as vice president, chief human resources officer, according to a news release.
Rutt is responsible for managing human-resources initiatives across the company, providing strategic leadership for domestic and international personnel programs. She also will serve as a Diebold corporate officer and will assume the responsibilities of Charles B. Scheurer, vice president of human resources who retires in July.
Rutt joined Diebold in October 2000 as director of organizational development. She later was promoted to vice president of human resources for Diebold North America. In 2002 she was named vice president of global human resources.
