Robbers fail to steal ATM with forklift

Suspects failed to steal an ATM from North Highlands, California at a Safe Credit Union with a forklift. The suspects struggled to knock down the ATM with a forklift but were eventually able to load it up onto a pickup truck, but then the ATM fell out of the back onto the middle of the road, according to a report by KMOV.

In a video, the suspects are seen trying multiple times to load the ATM onto the pickup truck and dropping it on the ground. Even though they eventually succeeded, when the ATM fell out on the road, the suspects left it there.

"This involves some sort of planning. How haphazard it actually was executed is a different story. But they did think of something. It was rather unique," Amar Gandhi, spokesperson for Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, told the news outlet. "And, you know, creative, not successful, obviously. But they did try."
