Regions Bank opens portable branch to serve victims of Hurricane Michael

October 30, 2018

Last Thursday, Regions Bank opened a full-service portable branch in downtown Marianna, Florida, to serve victims of Hurricane Michael.

In fact, according to a report by the Floridian, the Regions branch in Marianna  itself was extensively damaged by the enormous storm. The portable branch is now filling in, parked in a location behind the branch.

The portable facility features an ATM available 24/7, and is staffed during regular business hours with bankers who can assist customers with hurricane-related financial needs as well as everyday banking transactions.

At Regions’ portable branch, customers can use a deposit-taking ATM around the clock, conduct transactions with Regions bankers during regular branch hours, and speak with financial professionals about storm-recovery needs.

According to the report, residents of FEMA-declared disaster areas may be eligible for special financial services, including:

  • No check-cashing fee for FEMA-issued checks.
  • Mortgage disaster relief purchase and renovation loan programs.
  • Personal and business loan payment assistance.
  • One penalty-free CD withdrawal.
  • A 0.5 percent discount and waiver of $150 loan processing fee on new personal loans.
