Regions Bank is providing $100,000 through the Regions Foundation to The United Way of Greater Nashville and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee following a series of tornados that struck the region on Dec. 9, according to a press release.
Of the $100,000, $90,000 will be allocated specifically to relief efforts while $10,000 will go to Manna Café Ministries for hunger relief and other services in the area.
"These organizations are on the ground doing what they do best — meeting important needs, while providing care and compassion, and we are proud to support their work," Marta Self, executive director of the Regions Foundation, said in the release. "We recognize this will be a long and difficult recovery. But we are encouraged by the spirit of unity and determination that's evident in every community as neighbors help neighbors. Our goal with this funding is to provide resources to help keep the recovery moving forward in the days, weeks and months to come."
