Raiffeisen Bankengruppe Österreich to run their self-service systems with ProClassic from Wincor Nixdorf

July 30, 2002

Vienna, July 31, 2002.

Austria's Raiffeisen Bank Group has opted to install ProClassic

architecture from Wincor Nixdorf on its 3900 self-service machines. With

installation scheduled to start at the beginning of 2003, the new software

will replace the present DOS-based solutions.

The decision of Austria's Raiffeisen Bank Group in favor of ProClassic was

based on the solution's ability to meet the requirements of the diverse

networks and host systems installed in the individual companies. Another

key criterion was the fact that Wincor Nixdorf has been partner to

Raiffeisen Group for the last 25 years and has, during this time,

accumulated vast experience in operations for one of Europe's biggest

self-service networks.

ProClassic is world multivendor platform of choice for self-service

systems such as automated teller machines, account statement printers and

transaction terminals with a wide variety of application options. It meets

one of Raiffeisen Group's key requirements for a vendor-independent

software architecture.

ProClassic installations are tried and tested in a wide variety of

networks and host environments for many international projects.

With its range of software modules and component technology, the

ProClassic development environment guarantees minimum development times

and maximum reusability. Standard GUIs and freely-designable user

interfaces comply with needs for individual interface design.

In addition, the option of integrating state-of-the-art software

technologies like HTML, JAVA, etc., enables connectivity to Web servers

and CRM systems. This guarantees that the self-service delivery channel

can be optimally integrated in future applications. Use of the

self-service monitoring tool ProView provides a powerful remote monitoring

function, thereby guaranteeing maximum availability for the entire

self-service network.
