Dukhan Bank has introduced Qatar's first digital onboarding kiosk integrated with the Qatar Digital Identity (QDI) platform, according to the Gulf Times. Located at the bank's headquarters in Lusail and available 24/7, the self-service kiosk enables customers to open accounts through a fully digital, paperless process, directly connected to Qatar's national digital identity infrastructure.

The kiosk leverages QDI, developed by the Ministry of Interior, to perform real-time identity verification using biometric authentication and secure data validation. This integration allows customers to complete account opening in minutes and receive their bank cards instantly through on-site printing, significantly reducing onboarding time while strengthening security and identity verification.

In addition to account onboarding, the kiosk supports several self-service banking functions, including card replacement, account statements, and IBAN certificate issuance, with more services planned as part of Dukhan Bank's digital roadmap. The bank plans to deploy additional QDI-integrated kiosks across key locations in Qatar, expanding access to secure, always-on digital banking services nationwide.
