Protagona Worldwide appoints new board member

February 13, 2002

CHICAGO --

Protagona Worldwide has appointed Peter Astley-Sparke to its board as operations director.

Astley-Sparke replaces Paul Gregory, the retiring chief technology officer and co-founder of Protagona Worldwide. Astley-Sparke was previously the chief technology officer at Kokua Communications, where he was responsible for the development of broadband Internet access and value-added services over Astra's new generation of Ka-band satellites.

While at Kokua, Peter Astley-Sparke built three teams covering terminal development, a fully redundant central site and Web-based CRM system. He was also instrumental in securing early equity investment for Kokua Communications. Previous to his work at Kokua, Astley-Sparke worked for eight years as the Dow Jones Markets' vice president of development/support for all customer products. He began his career in 1980 as a software engineer for British Gas, where he developed real-time management systems for the company's largest distribution network.

Protagona Worldwide is the developer of the Protagona Ensemble campaign management suite. The solution collects information from customers conducting transactions through ATMs, e-Commerce applications, Web sites, point of sale, call centers and direct mail responses.
