Police stop attempted ATM theft in Connecticut

Police in Branford, Connecticut interrupted an ATM theft in progress at an Evan's Mobile gas station. Suspects were attempting to remove the ATM when the officer noticed them, according to a report by News 8.

The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle. A chase ensued but police stopped the chase due to the suspect driving at a very dangerous speed.

The vehicle was later found abandoned and engulfed in flames. The investigation is ongoing.
