WARSAW, Poland and LEAWOOD, Kan. -- Euronet Worldwide (Nasdaq:EEFT), has begun offering prepaid mobile recharge service at the point-of-sale for customers of Centertel, which has a 29 percent share of Poland's mobile market and is the country's leader in the prepaid market.
Centertel is the first provider to offer Euronet POS Recharge services to its customer base. Centertel customers also can purchase prepaid mobile time at ATMs.
According to a news release, Euronet's POS recharge allows Centertel customers to combine the task of recharging airtime with making a retail purchase. Euronet POS recharge allows customers to pay in cash or with a debit card; no sign up process is required.
"These offerings allow us to expand our widespread coverage area for all of Poland's prepaid mobile users, and enable Centertel to offer several integrated electronic distribution methods," said Michael J. Brown, Euronet Worldwide chairman and chief executive officer, in a news release.
