PNC Bank plans to open more than 300 branches by 2030. This is a major increase from its previous plans in November 2024of opening 100 branches and renovating 200, according to a press release.

The bank will invest approximately $2 billion into these branches. They will also extend PNC into multiple markets like Nashville, Chicago, Winston-Salem and Sarasota, Florida. PNC will hire on more than 2,000 employees to staff these branches.

Some of the branch locations include:

  • 35 branches in Nashville.
  • 40 in six southeastern cities: Fort Myers, Florida; Lakeland, Florida; Sarasota, Florida; Asheville, North Carolina; Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina.
  • 25 branches in Chicago.

"At PNC, we know the importance of building deep local connections. Our branches serve as vital community hubs where trusted relationships are built and financial aspirations made real," Alex Overstrom, head of retail banking at PNC, said in the release. "The build-out of these 300 new branches allows us to deliver our unique blend of hospitality and financial advice to more clients in more neighborhoods across the country. It's about making PNC the most convenient bank in each of these markets, ensuring we can meet people where they are and help them thrive."
