Personalized instant issuance cards a win for China Everbright Bank

The first bank in the region to offer instant-issue personalized cards, China Everbright has watched the format rise to the top in terms of popularity.

China Everbright Bank Co. Ltd., an 807-branch FI based in Beijing, is implementing Datacard financial instant issuance solutions for in-branch issuance of permanent credit cards. It is the first bank in the region to issue instant cards in the popular personalized format.

The solution means that China Everbright Bank customers may walk into their local branch, choose a personalized background image for their credit card, and receive the new card immediately. The new procedure reduces the wait for a card application and card mailing from 10 days to 5 minutes.

“[P]ersonalized credit cards set the trend for customized service in the financial industry," said Bing Dai, general manager of the China Everbright Bank credit card center. “After this system launched, DIY cards became one of the most unique and popular products in our innovative credit card product line.”

The solution includes Datacard CardWizard instant issuance software and Datacard CE870 instant issuance systems with embossing and indenting, graphics printing, and magnetic stripe and smart card encoding.
