A man from Chester County, Pennsylvania, named Mark Edens lost a $980 cash deposit at a Navy Federal Credit Union ATM following an error. However, when he filed a complaint, he said that the credit union denied his claim, according to areport by NBC Philadelphia.
When he inserted the cash, "the ATM gave me an error receipt and then it just started rebooting and gave like these weird codes and stuff and then I looked on my app and saw that the money didn't reflect in my account."
He reached out to NBC10 Responds to help him with the issue. The organization followed up with the credit union, which "re-opened its review of the missing $980 ATM deposit after identifying incomplete information during the initial review process."
Two weeks after the incident, Edens said he received the $980 in his account.
