Paytm, a digital wallet and payments provider based in India, is reportedly testing facial recognition capability that will allow consumers to unlock the payments feature in the mobile wallet platform, according to a report by The Economic Times.
The company also reportedly plans to enable payment confirmation via facial recognition, a feature already available with Apple Face ID and Apple Pay.
Paytm declined to confirm that it is testing facial recognition, but did tell The Economic Times that the company it is testing a variety of new features for its mobile wallet platform.
