HERNDON, Va. -- Walter C. Patterson of ACS has been named chairman of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association, succeeding Mark MacKenzie, president of Citicorp Services, Inc., whose term ended in June.
"I look forward to continuing and strengthening the Association's leadership role in electronic payments," Patterson said.
"Walt's experience and reputation will help EFTA and its members as we collectively tackle the challenges today's newer technologies present to our industry," added H. Kurt Helwig, executive director of EFTA.
Patterson formerly served as vice chairman of the EFTA board of directors, as well as treasurer of its group, and chairman of its EBT
Industry Council.
