ParaScript, an AI document processing provider, has introduced an embedded signature verification solution for checks.

With this solution, banks can more easily identify fraudulent checks at ATMs, teller lines and kiosks, according to a press release.

The solution embeds the customer's signature in an encrypted format onto the check. Upon processing, the signature is decoded by verification software so it can be compared with the actual written signature. It also uses AI models to calculate the probability of fraud by detecting any potential discrepancies.

This solution will be a module for the SignatureXpert.AI forgery detection software.

"Fraud schemes are becoming more complex, and financial institutions need tools that provide both security and efficiency," Emiliano Giacchetti, CEO of ParaScript, said in the release. "Our embedded signature verification solution gives financial institutions a secure, real-time method to confirm signatures, protecting clients while enabling smoother, more confident check processing."
