Paragon enhances web-based testing platform for FIs

North Carolina-based Paragon Application Systems, a provider of payment-testing solutions for the financial services industry, has enhanced its Web FASTest enterprise testing platform.

"We have added key features that accelerate the implementation of our modern platform in enterprise settings," Jim Perry, CEO of Paragon, said in a company press release. "In the complex and constantly evolving world we live in today, it is imperative for financial services companies to better, more proactively manage and control their payment testing environment."

According to Paragon, Web FASTest will provide the following:

Multiple data element dictionary support
Developers can now reduce code redundancies and increase test coverage by using multiple data element dictionaries to test different versions of a message format or test scheme. System administrators can leverage the centralized command and control infrastructure in Web FASTest to manage who can create and modify these dictionaries.

Certification/progress tracking
Several large payment processors use Web FASTest to address their unique certification and self-cert requirements, reducing project times from months to days. They can now monitor certification progress in Web FASTest in real time using a concise and accurate summary that includes test counts according to current status, a color-coded graphical representation of progress completion and printable reports summarizing the results.

SSO integration with SAML
Many organizations rely on a secure, single sign-on implementation to increase productivity, reduce risk, minimize help desk costs and promote the adoption of company-sponsored applications. Web FASTest now supports the latest security assertion markup language 2.0 specification, facilitating secure and efficient integration with modern SSO environments.

Performance testing improvements
Financial services providers use performance testing of mission critical systems and applications to ensure that components operate optimally at scale and provide the best possible customer experience. Web FASTest's built-in capabilities enable users to configure multiple performance tests to run from multiple test schemes then save the configuration settings from these sessions for future tests.

New formats supported
Keeping up with network mandates and other regulatory requirements can be expensive, time consuming and risky, unless organizations work with a vendor who manages these issues on their behalf. Web FASTest stimulates and supports dozens of regional, national and global message formats. Paragon has recently added Web FASTest support for these additional message formats Presto! (Publix), Instant Cash (First Data), Buypass (First Data).
