Parabit rolls out mobile NFC, contactless EMV access for secure ATM lobbies

Following on the rapid deployment of cardless NFC transactions at ATMs, self-service and security solutions provider Parabit has introduced mobile NFC and contactless EMV access control for secure ATM lobbies.

According to a company press release, Parabit began production last month of its multimedia reader, which integrates with the company's ACS-1E ATM vestibule access control and remote facility management system.

The device features dual skimmer detection with patented SkimGard technology that detects overlay skimmers as well as RFID listeners, the release said.

The MMR supports iPhone 6 and later smartphones, NFC-enabled Android smartphones and wearable tech, contactless EMV debit and credit cards, and magnetic stripe cards.

Parabit has received commitments from seven of the top 20  banks in the U.S. for more than 10,000 units over the next two to three years, according to the release.
