KARACHI, Pakistan -- A nationwide interbank shared ATM network switch launched on April 25 at the head office of ABN-AMRO Bank, according to a report in the News International.
The network, which includes 11 of the country's banks, will be called 1-Link.
Member banks include ABL, ABN AMRO Bank, HBL, Askari Commercial Bank, UBL, Soneri Bank, Union Bank, Bank Al-Habib, Bank Al-Falah, NBP, and PICIC Commercial Bank.
Pakistan's remaining five banks also plan to join the switch, according to the News International.
1-Link is an expansion of the current ATM switch, which was co-founded by ABN-AMRO, Askari Bank several years ago.
