One America Bancorp inks acquisition of Hopeton State Bank

One America Bancorp Inc., has acquired Hopeton State Bank, based in Woods County, Oklahoma. Through the acquisition, One America plans to serve rural communities in Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas, according to a press release.

Trent Goss, president of Hopeton State Bank, will remain in his role. One America will also support small businesses and agriculture through capital injection and aims to expand into Dallas, Texas.

"This is a two-pronged strategy," Bruce Ware, chairman and CEO, One America, said in the release. "We see tremendous opportunity both in rural Oklahoma — where strong banks still play a vital role in economic life — and in the vibrant commercial corridors of North Texas, which remains one of the fastest growing MSAs in the country. One America Bancorp is built to do both and expand on Hopeton State Bank's 106-year-old legacy."
