Oh, I dunno ... an interactive teller machine, maybe?

October 26, 2017

Soap operas are not known for plausibility — characters have the darnedest habit of dying only to reappear a few years later as their own long-lost identical twin.

However, one particular departure from reality reportedly has some fans of the BBC One TV soap EastEnders fuming with indignation, according to Mirror, a U.K. tabloid.

The offending fabrication involved a trip to an ATM to withdraw 1,000 pounds (slightly more than $1,300), a sum that one character owed another after losing a bet.

"What cash points dish out £1,000?" one viewer seethed on Twitter.

Any industry member who would like to point out that this was possibly one of the more believable plot points in the episode can respond at #EastEnders.
