NYCE intros ATM management service

September 10, 2002

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- The NYCE Corporation has announced the Enhanced Report Suite (ERS), a subscription-based service which provides NYCE network participants with quarterly and year-end product management reports specific to their financial institution.

According to a news release, ERS subscribers also will receive network-wide performance information and annual benchmark data on key ATM/debit card performance measures and best practices, which will allow them to see trends in transaction volume and cardholder behavior.

Some examples of specific reports are: Average number of transactions per active cardholder for ATM and POS; average purchase transaction amounts, with and without cash back, and ATM withdrawal amounts; most frequently used ATM and POS locations for the institution's cardholders; transaction distribution by market sector (type of retailer) with transaction amounts and percentage of cash back; ATM/POS transaction distribution by state; and denied transactions segmented by reason for denial.

Susan Zawodniak, vice president with NYCE and executive director of the network, said NYCE worked directly with its customers to create tools to meet their needs and challenges. "We even honored their request to provide the reports in electronic format so they could easily be incorporated into internal presentations," she said in the release. "Listening pays off -- the response to this package has been outstanding."

As part of the Enhanced Report Suite service, NYCE will also execute an annual "best practices" survey exclusively for subscribers. According to the release, questions will provide insights between peers on the practices that drive profitability, covering topics such as cardholder trends, resource utilization, technology applications, operational practices and expense control.
