New York Post Online: A gang of ATM thieves believed to have stolen 20 machines in the past year apparently struck again last week, hitting a Subway sandwich shop during the night and taking off with its cash machine, law-enforcement sources said on Oct. 27.
The gang hit the shop on Second Avenue at 52nd Street, pulled out and emptied the ATM, then dumped it in The Bronx.
Investigators believe the thieves may belong to the same group that struck several times this year. Twenty machines have been stolen since January.
