Northwest Bank appoints chief banking officer

Northwest Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, appointed Urich Bowers as chief consumer banking and strategy officer. He takes over for John Golding, who is pursuing different opportunities, according to a press release.

In this role, Bowers will oversee the bank's consumer banking division of approximately 1,100 employees in 131 branches in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.

Prior to joining Northwest Bank, Bowers served as head of consumer products, strategy and innovation at PNC Financial Services Group.
