NMB launches first ATM in Africa with currency exchange function

Customers in Africa traveling to Tanzania's three main international airports — Julius Nyerere in Dar es Salaam, Abeid Amani Karume in Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro — can now obtain dollars, euros or pounds at NMB Bank's ATMs, according to a report in The Citizen.

NMB Bank, which has 225 locations, began exchanging currency last year after the government closed its foreign exchange over allegations of tax evasion, money laundering and other illegal transactions.
