N.J. trio charged in ATM heist

Star-Ledger: Three Newark, N.J.residents -- one of them a former employee of Loomis Fargo -- were arrested by the FBI on Aug. 5 and charged with stealing $160,000 from an ATM in Jersey City in June. The suspects -- Luis Llopiz, 29, Mary Rooney, 26, and Pedro Santos, 23 -- apparently caused the machine to malfunction and robbed the guard who came to repair it. Llopiz was also charged separately with stealing $40,000 from a Loomis Fargo guard who was delivering money to an ATM on the campus of New Jersey City University in Jersey City in December.
