Raleigh, N.C. and Santa Clara, Calif. -- Middleware provider Nexus Software and Infonox, an infrastructure software company focusing on transaction and payment products, have
formed a strategic alliance that the two companies say will enable simplified deployment of advanced function, Web-enabled ATMs.
The alliance gives deployers access to Nexus' XFS-compliant INvolve middleware and Infonox's glu-on plug-in technology. Glu-on provides connectivity to Infonox's Active Payment Platform and also offers capability to deployers for managing events, notifications, transaction flows and repairs.
ATMs using glu-on and INvolve have already been rolled out in gaming and retail markets, according to a news release.
According to officials from both companies, the alliance is expected to speed up the transition from legacy ATMs to Web-enabled ATMs. Current users of INvolve middleware can add glu-on and instantly offer additional transactional capabilities.
"The open standard XFS capabilities of Nexus INvolve give us the portability to put glu-on onto any device that supports XFS," said Safwan Shah, chief executive officer of Infonox.
INvolve is fully compliant and certified on the Infonox Active Payment Platform.
