Nexus expands its management team

May 3, 2005

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nexus Software Inc., which provides cross-channel middleware for financial services delivery, has named Snowden "Skip" Williams general manager of Nexus and its INvolve suite, according to a news release. Edgar Villarreal also has joined the team as executive account manager in Latin America for Involve.

INvolve is Nexus' flagship suite of cross-channel integration solutions.

Williams will oversee the strategic direction of Nexus, which includes monitoring and supervising day-to-day company and employee activities, the overall development and enhancement of INvolve worldwide and the identification and fostering of key financial-institution and value-added-reseller relationships.

Villarreal will oversee sales growth in Latin American markets, including Mexico, Central and South America. He also is responsible for value-added-reseller relationship development in the same region.

Before joining Nexus, Williams was director of sales for Raleigh, N.C.-based IBM's Pervasive Computing Division. In this position, he was responsible for the revenue and profit of voice, wireless and embedded middleware technologies, which resulted in a 125 percent increase in account growth. Williams also served as director of sales operations for IBM's Personal Systems Group, where he oversaw field and channel sales operations that experienced double-digit revenue growth for four consecutive quarters under his leadership.

He holds a bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. He also earned an MBA in marketing and international business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he pioneered the UNC/IESA International Exchange Program in Caracas, Venezuela.

"As Nexus Software continues to expand its reach worldwide, it is important to build the company's executive management team with industry and field experts," said Robert Usner, director of product marketing and management for Nexus. "Skip Williams' experience in technology management, global operations and customer focused solutions enhances Nexus Software position as a leader in cross-channel middleware solutions as we look to future company and product growth."

Villarreal was Latin America territory sales manager for Holtsville, N.Y.-based LJ Technical Systems Inc., a division of LJ Group Ltd., a technical education software/hardware developer and manufacturer, before he joined Nexus.

He holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas Pan American.

"By adding Edgar Villarreal as executive account manager, we can assure our growth in the Latin American markets and expanded reach of INvolve to financial institutions everywhere," Usner said. "Our company strength lies not only in the quality of our INvolve suite of cross-channel integration solutions and the VAR relationships we establish throughout the industry and world, but also the caliber of individual we hire at Nexus Software."
