BPC Banking Technologies, a provider of Open System payment solutions, has announced the successful implementation of a new SmartVista-driven processing center at Russia's Russlavbank, a news release said.
BPC also enabled solutions and functionality the FI requires to connect to the local ATM alliance, in effect expanding its network to more than 40,000 ATMs. The bank deployed SmartGuard to monitor transactions in real time and prevent fraudulent attacks.
The migration required less than six months, including interfaces to existing systems that included the bank's interactive voice response system, its e-wallet and money transfer system Contact24, and core banking systems, the release said.
The new system will allow Russlavbank to pursue plans for a rapid upscaling of its card issuance from 150,000 cards in circulation today, to several million by the end of the year.
"To support our ambitious growth plans we needed a totally reliable payments solution that helps us launch innovative products quickly and easily — SmartVista is that solution," said Russlavbank Card Processing Director Alexander Bogdasarov.
