New Mosaic software release to support Linux

November 16, 2003

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Transaction processing software provider Mosaic Software says that the forthcoming release of Postilion Realtime 5.0. will be available on Linux in addition to Windows and will support both SQL Server and Oracle.

"This step enables corporations with an investment in Oracle to gain the advantages of using Postilion without the cost of investing in an alternate database," said Mosaic CEO Johann Dreyer in a news release. "In addition, Linux has gained world-wide acceptance as an operating system."

Mosaic decided to focus on only two operating system platforms -- Windows and Linux -- and two database platforms -- SQL Server and Oracle -- to provide choice yet maintain high levels of quality and client support, Dreyer said.

Mosaic plans to release Postilion Realtime 5.0 in 2004's second quarter, according to the release.

More information will be available at Mosaic Software's booth (#2622) during the BAI Retail Delivery Conference in New Orleans, Nov. 19-20.
